Hard to put into words but actually very simple.

Now take a piece of scrap wood.say 1X2 and tie wire that to the handle of the keg so it can be a lever to push down on the socket that will push the spear down to free the ring.Īll you need is something that goes inside the spear.i use a socket, but you could use a piece of wood etc, and a way to force it down.i use a long piece of wood attached to the rim of the keg as a lever. If that doesn't work, what I have done to simulate the compression tool, is to use a large socket (wrench).not sure maybe 1" - 1 1/4" that fits inside the top of the spear. First I would try sharpening the small screwdriver to almost a knife edge so it can get a bite on the spiral ring. For that size of screw I'd go with 2-3 size changes.Having fooled w/ sankes for a few years now, perhaps I can help. It'll harden up like wood but still let you back the screw out later on if you want a different tp holder (most use same mounting spacing) unlike if you use epoxy.Įdit:as Nun-Taken said, smaller bits first then work up in size, works best. If you do that and over ream and the screw is loose get both holes drilled, buy some Durham Water Putty, mix thick and fill the loose holes then while still wet screw the bracket up and let it sit for a day or two before using. If the screw is too tight while fastening remove it, use the drill to ream out the hole slightly then try again. Once you're done screw in by HAND not a power drill, when it's snug stop, don't over tighten as the tile may break. Make sure you mark the correct locations before starting as you won't be able to change it after, and after drilling the first hole recheck the seconds location before drilling incase the drill slid to the side. Unless it's glass tile a glass bit is overkill, set drill in low speed, don't use the hammer function, have a 2nd person with a spray bottle of water spray the drill and the tile while you drill the holes. They will have the required drill bit with then or will say what size to use if they don't. Use this, find where to buy around you (home Depot/Menards/Lowe's/most hardware stores carry these. Most tp holders have hidden screws so replacing them shouldn't matter. Wouldn't use those screws unless they are exposed after mounting. Please read the Sub Guidelines before posting.
